If you've never used VR before, don't worry, AltspaceVR is super easy and the set-up is
not much different to Zoom. Anyone can jump in and get started using a PC or Mac (Mac is in beta but works
fine). You also don't need a VR headset either, 2D-mode works really well with just your headphones
(essential) and built-in computer microphone.
The AltspaceVR app is available on a wide variety of headsets including most Oculus
devices, the HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality and even a 2D Mode on PC or Mac.

Entering our Virtual Realty world is only possible using a computer or compatible VR headset
Download AltspaceVR on on your PC or MAC and enjoy 2D mode.
- Download and install the ALTspaceVR desktop app (https://altvr.com/get-altspacevr-2dmode/)
- Sign-up to AltspaceVR (https://altvr.com/). You'll need
to link your Microsoft account.
- Jump into Altspace - open up the desktop app and log-in
- Once in Altspace, customise your avatar. Choose colours, hairstyle, clothes etc.: Main Menu > ME.
- To enter the Beats N Treats VR world click here
You can navigate to other worlds or events: choose:
Main Menu
> explore > or go directly into the Beats N Treats (use WORLD CODE: RSN649)
Set-up Tips
- Mic and Headphone set-up: You may need to go into your system preferences to select the devices you want
to use.
- Fly Mode: Most people want to fly in VR. Once inside the Beats N Treats world, select the triangle
shaped menu on your left to go into settings. Choose: INPUT > fly mode (toggle on)
- Spatial sound: You can control how far the sound travels to you in the VR world
